This course consists of the whole content of the online Sleep Well course and three 'live' (via zoom) sessions with NIrlipta Tuli.
All parts focus on reducing anxiety and feeling overwhelmed by sleeplessness. All parts are very relaxing and all can be done in bed. There are no written exercises, tests or need to struggle to get to sleep. In fact, all that is really needed is simply to listen to the sound of Nirlipta’s voice while resting.
The teachings from this course on sleeping well can be done in two ways. The first is to simply listen passively to the practices and let them lull you into a sleepy place. The second is to pro-actively use some of the techniques learnt, such as self-hypnosis (amongst) several for example, to take yourself into sleep. Some people prefer one or the other approach or fuse the two together. It can be done as your own preferences dictate. For some people, this is perhaps the most relaxing thing that they seem to ever remember doing. This course is certainly a wonderful way to travel to sleep.
The first part of the course is a series of three 90 minute live online sessions with Nirlipta. They consist mainly of a series of soothing practices to be done while resting, or lying in bed. Included are some for going to sleep, some for going into trance by oneself, some for profound rest even if sleep doesn’t come. There are some for using periods of being awake in the middle of the night as an opportunity resource, to problem solve, allow creative insights to develop, to rest (even more), to heal deeply or have meditative experiences.
There is a small amount of explanation in these live sessions, but the emphasis is very firmly on the practical experience of increasing relaxation while reducing anxiety about going to sleep and, of course, drifting off to sleep quite gently. There is no need to even pay much attention. In fact, many people have found that they don’t even make it through a whole session awake, as sleep comes to them.
Some feedback from the last sleep course includes:
"Super interesting to hear about the science of Nidra and sleep. The garden imagery and journey was wonderful and the notion of the different yous really speaks to me. THANK YOU very much for sharing your wisdom (Caroline, sleep course 13/6/ 20)"
"Nirlipta has a wealth of knowledge and a deep understanding of Yoga Nidra, sleep and breathwork. He makes everything effortless in terms of learning." (Derval Dunford, Breathwork, Mindfulness & Yoga Nidra teacher, 17 June 2020).
And from Nirlitpas sleep NIdra on Facebook 'live':
"That was beautiful. I fell asleep while listening last night so listened again this morning first thing on awakening. (What a beautiful dream by Jo (Aashna Musa, 6 June 2020)"
