TYNTFT ONLINE : FIVE PHASE STRUCTURE OF LEARNING:
EMBODYING NIDRA SHAKTI (the power of rest) in the Total Yoga Nidra teacher and Facilitator Online Training Community
At the Yoga Nidra Network we have been running trainings for Total Yoga Nidra facilitators and teachers since 2010. This Online Total Yoga Nidra Teacher and Facilitator Training (OTYNTFT) is uniquely designed to empower you to practice and share responsive, co-creative and trauma-informed Total Yoga Nidra to groups and individuals, live and online. Within a unique context of clearly defined ethical precepts, this course provides a well-held, structured and supportive training programme of webinars, tutorials, small group and dyad work for practical training, creative empowerments and sharing. There are dozens of unique live and recorded Total Yoga Nidra practices, home assignments to deepen your understanding of Total Yoga Nidra, and a series of open circles for discussion with other trainees, graduates, tutors and experienced teachers of Yoga Nidra. All of this is held within a nourishing and nurturing community of fellow practitioners and facilitators.
Please know that this is not simply a course to download content fast and leave you alone to make sense of it – this is a carefully constructed, nourishing learning environment and community of on-going practice and professional support. Our express intention is to nurture your skills and confidence to deliver your own uniquely responsive Total Yoga Nidra practices within the safe and effective structure that we have tried and tested over our decades of teaching and training in Yoga Nidra.
We know from our long experience that it is not possible to develop the skills, confidence and understanding needed to share responsive Yoga Nidra practices safely and confidently without a great deal of practice, and support. This is why we have created our course within the context of a community of tutors, teachers and practitioners, with the intention of providing you with the optimal learning environment to grow your own unique capacity to share the power of Total Yoga Nidra with confidence, in your own voice, in your own words! We are proud of our graduates and teachers, we celebrate the great work that they do in sharing Total Yoga Nidra, and we invite you to join us in the learning and growing community of the Yoga Nidra Network, established in 2010.

These notes are to be retained by you to support your capacity to analyse and discuss different approaches to yoga nidra with your co-students on the course. This is an important aspect of the course, so please bring your notes with you.
PHASE THREE: Gathering
Gatherings! These are the online meetings – details are sent to you one week before the start of the course.
PHASE FOUR: Grounding
Coursework (to be completed between the first and second online gatherings of the training)
Yoga Nidra script development project
Prior to the second part of the course (second gathering if doing the course in two parts, or the dedicated day before the second half if doing the course as an intensive), write a draft script for a fifteen minute yoga nidra which you are intending to use for yourself, or with your students or clients. A tutorial meeting with one of the course tutors will be arranged for you to discuss this script. Feedback and suggestions on the draft to be provided by course tutors. Refine the script, incorporating feedback. Please note: Full details of this requirement are provided in the first gathering. There is no need to make any preparation for this before you attend the course.
Case Study
To be completed by an agreed date after the second gathering
A case study, conducted over four sessions of yoga nidra, based on the reactions of either an individual client (or self, if taking the non-teacher route) or a class receiving the yoga nidra. Case study can utilize the scripts developed during the course, or be based on other scripts developed by the student. Please note: Full details of this requirement are provided in the first gathering. There is no need to make any preparation for this before you attend the course.
PHASE FIVE: After the gatherings
On-going support through tutorials and open circles – our commitment to your support and growth as a teacher continues for one year and one day from the date of the first gathering.
